Addressable RGB LEDs commonly come in the form of LED tape. The LEDs on such a tape are connected in series but can be individually controlled by sending the colours in the order they should appear on the LEDs. These LEDs contain a controller with shift register which passes data onto the next chip if it didn't consume it itself.

The Whoosher is a 3D printed device that by depressing the handle it emits a flammable aerosol from a small canister onto a tea light candle. The result is a vertical fireball and a distinctive whooshing sound. It has been known to fail in colder conditions and requires warming of the canister of gas to aid vaporising of the flammable gas in these cold environments.
